<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein it is difficult to inform an operator what kind of error sate a printer has from the display of an LED when the printer transfers to a power saving state while having some error state in the printer having a display part. <P>SOLUTION: The printer having a first printing mode for executing a printing operation and a second printing mode which is a waiting state of the printing operation and the mode different from the first printing mode, includes the display part having at least a first light emitting element and a second light emitting element, a display control part which controls to turn on or turn off the first light emitting element and the second emitting element, and a detection part for detecting presence or absence of the error regarding the printer. The display control part controls to blink the first light emitting element in the predetermined first display control after being transferred to the second printing mode when the detection part detects the error regarding the printer before transferring to the second printing mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
