<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance brightness of a display image while suppressing observer's perception of a mixture of a right-eye image and a left-eye image. <P>SOLUTION: An electro-optical device 10 displays a right-eye image GR and a left-eye image GL for each display period Pi. At every display period Pi, a driving circuit 40 performs a first simultaneous selection drive that sequentially selects first sets composed of each two scanning lines 32 sorted and supplies gradation potentials X[n] corresponding to gradations d[2k-1] of odd-numbered rows to each signal line 34 and a second simultaneous selection drive that sequentially selects second set different from the first sets and supplies gradation potentials X[n] corresponding to gradations d[2k] of even-numbered rows to each signal line 34. At the time of selection of the second sets including the scanning lines 32 positioned inside a display region A1 and the scanning lines 32 positioned outside the display region A1, a display controlling circuit 142 controls the driving circuit 40 such that gradation potentials X[n] corresponding to specified gradations corresponding to the scanning lines 32 positioned inside the display region A1 out of the second sets are supplied to each signal line 34. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
