<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arithmetic unit and a database capable of executing an arithmetic operation between different physical amounts including units and prefixes without errors. <P>SOLUTION: The arithmetic unit includes: a database for storing a first indicator for which a prime number excluding a prime factor of the prefix indicated by a cardinal number and an exponent part including the prime factor is allocated for a basic unit, and a second indicator for which an integer obtained by a product of the first indicator is respectively allocated to a numerator and a denominator for an assembly unit; a conversion part for obtaining the plurality of physical amounts including amounts, prefixes and units respectively, converting the unit to the first indicator when the unit is the basic unit, or converting the unit to the second indicator when the unit is the assembly unit, and obtaining a third indicator by multiplying the prefix with the converted first indicator or second indicator; and an operation part for performing the operation of the amounts with each other of the plurality of physical amounts and the operation of the third indicators with each other, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
