<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication control device, communication system, communication method, and communication control program, capable of suppressing a user load to determine each function to be allocated to each communication control device and to set the determined function, when each function is allocated to a communication control device having a plurality of functions according to a network configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The communication control device identifies the network configuration by communicating with other communication control devices. The communication control device refers to a first reference table 241 stored in a flash memory, and selects information corresponding to the identified network configuration. Based on the selected information, the communication control device determines the function of each communication control device corresponding to the network configuration. The communication control device sets the determined function to the communication control device and the other communication control devices.
