<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery exhibiting excellent cycle characteristics in high rate charge/discharge. <P>SOLUTION: In a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery 20 where a laminate electrode produced by laminating a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate with a separator interposed therebetween is housed in a laminate exterior body 1 together with a nonaqueous electrolyte, a negative electrode active material layer is formed on the surface of a negative electrode core of the negative electrode plate. The negative electrode active material layer contains spherical graphite, flaky graphite, and carboxymethyl cellulose. Average specific surface area of the spherical graphite and flaky graphite is 2.0-4.0 m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>/g, the etherification degree of the carboxymethyl cellulose is 0.8-1.5, and the pack density of the negative electrode active material layer is 1.3-1.8 g/cc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
