PURPOSE: An input shaft of a vehicle steering system, in which an upper shaft and a lower shaft are connected, and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve safety and reliability of products by integrating an upper shaft and a lower shaft. CONSTITUTION: An input shaft of a vehicle steering system comprises next steps. A prepared material is inserted into a die and performs the plastic deformation using a punch. An input shaft molds a flange(40) on an upper shaft part in order to be mounted on in a chassis of a vehicle. A spline(50) for assembling a universal joint is molded on a bottom shaft part. The connection part is fixed on the steering wheel of a vehicle. A fixing groove(32) is formed on the top end of the connection part. The upper shaft and the spline have grooves. |
