MOTION VECTOR DETECTION DEVICE AND METHOD, AND VIDEO SIGNAL PROCESSING DEVICE AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion vector detection device capable of detecting a motion vector with high precision even from a pull-down converted 3D video signal.

SOLUTION: A pull-down detection part 1 detects whether a 3D video signal F0 is a pull-down converted video signal. An LR separation part 3 separates right and left video signals of respective frames of the same image contents and outputs an LR separated signal Me0. A frame delay LR separation part 2 outputs a frame delay LR separated signal Me1 having right and left video signals of a frame one repetition period precedent separated. A motion vector detection part MVD detects motion vectors MV1 of the right and left video signals. An LR combination part 8 combines together and outputs the motion vectors MV1 of the right and left video signals as a motion vector MV.
