<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance brightness of a display image while suppressing observer's perception of a mixture of a right-eye image and a left-eye image. <P>SOLUTION: An electro-optical device 10 displays a right-eye image GR and a left-eye image GL for each display period Pi. In each of a plurality of unit periods U in each display period Pi, a driving circuit 40 is a circuit for supplying a gradation potential X[n] corresponding to gradations specified by image data DA corresponding to the unit periods U to each pixel PIX. In unit periods U1 in each display period Pi, the driving circuit 40 supplies a gradation potential X[n] corresponding to specified gradations of each pixel PIX corresponding to any scanning line 32 out of a plurality of rows in selection states to each signal line 34 while sequentially selecting the scanning line 32 for each of the rows.
