<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an abnormal releasing operation of an engagement device according to a release instruction for the engagement device. <P>SOLUTION: A driving device of a hybrid vehicle includes: an input member coupled to an engine so as to be drivable; an output member coupled to a wheel so as to be drivable; a first rotating electrical machine; a second rotating electrical machine; a differential gear machine having three rotating members; and a control device. The driving device also includes the engagement device capable of releasing the drive coupling of one of the input member, the output member, and the first rotating electrical machine to the rotating member of the differential gear device. The control device instructs the release of the engagement device in a state that the engagement device is in a coupled state and also the first rotating electrical machine, the second rotating electrical machine, and the engine are stopped, instructs the generation of the rotary torque of the first rotating electrical machine, and detects the abnormal releasing operation of the engagement device according to the release instruction for the engagement device based on an aspect of a change in the rotating state of the first rotating electrical machine upon the generation of the rotary torque by the first rotating electrical machine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
