<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device for efficiently detecting whether a cassette is in a proper storage position in a storage space and increasing the efficiency of cassette storing operation by an accessor, and a method of detecting a latched state of the storage device. <P>SOLUTION: A storage device has: a magazine 4 (storage section) having a plurality of storage sections, accommodating a plurality of cassettes C in series from an opening 2 toward a bottom 1B of a storage space 1 while guiding the plurality of cassettes C on a predetermined guideway 1A, arranged in a surface direction of the opening 2; and an accessor A provided so as to face the magazine 4 for moving in parallel with a surface of the opening 2, thereby operating the cassettes C. The storage device also has: extrusion means for biasing the cassettes C from the bottom 1B to the opening 2; a latch lever 11 movably provided in a direction of intersecting the opening 2 and biased in a direction of overlapping the opening 2; and an imaging device 20 (detection means) provided at an accessor A for detecting a position of the latch lever 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
