<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve security of a device including a touch screen. <P>SOLUTION: A device (a smartphone, for example) includes a touch screen and a controller for cancelling a lock state of the device on the basis of the number of touches detected by the touch screen when the device is locked. The device may further include a display superimposed on the touch screen.
