<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for battery charging control for a vehicle, preventing a battery from being deteriorated by controlling charging of the battery at a current rate appropriate for a temperature environment, where the battery is mounted, to improve durability of the battery, and also allowing the battery to be charged quickly. <P>SOLUTION: A method for battery charging control for a vehicle includes: a map forming step of experimenting whether a deterioration phenomenon of a battery occurs at each temperature and each current rate of battery charging within a temperature range where a target battery can be charged and forming a map showing a maximum current value which is capable of charging the battery within a range where the deterioration phenomenon does not occur, at each battery temperature; a current calculation step of receiving an input of a temperature of the battery and calculating a maximum current value for the input temperature based on the map; and a charging control step of controlling a charging current of the battery at the maximum current value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
