<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion element which achieves high performance, such as high photoelectric conversion efficiency, and also is excellent in IPCE (incident photon to current conversion efficiency) in a long-wavelength region and durability. <P>SOLUTION: The photoelectric conversion element includes a laminated structure in which a photoreceptor including a layer of semiconductor fine particles onto which a dye has been adsorbed, a charge-transfer body, and a counter electrode are arranged on a conductive support, wherein a metal complex dye represented by the following formula (1): ML<SP POS="POST">1</SP>L<SP POS="POST">2</SP>X is used as the dye. In formula, M represents transition metal selected from ruthenium, osmium, iron, rhenium, and technetium; X represents NCS<SP POS="POST">-</SP>, Cl<SP POS="POST">-</SP>, Br<SP POS="POST">-</SP>, I<SP POS="POST">-</SP>, CN<SP POS="POST">-</SP>, NCO<SP POS="POST">-</SP>, H<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O, or NCN<SB POS="POST">2</SB><SP POS="POST">-</SP>; L<SP POS="POST">1</SP>represents a specific tridentate ligand; and L<SP POS="POST">2</SP>represents a specific bidentate ligand. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
