<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus not larger in size than those equipped with a fixing device having a cam mechanism, and allowing minimization of cost increase. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has a fixing part that heats and pressurizes a medium on which a toner image is transferred to fix the toner image on the medium, a tray on which the medium bearing the fixed toner image is to be placed, a discharge roller that forwards the medium having passed through the fixing part and bearing the fixed toner image in an obliquely upward direction to discharge the medium onto the tray, and a curl correction part arranged in the discharge path of the medium discharged by the discharge roller. The image forming apparatus is characterized by having a discharge guide that corrects the curl of the medium curled in the fixing part, as the medium advances while being in abutment with the curl correction part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
