<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mirror angle detection apparatus in which an increase in the number of part items can be suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: A mirror angle detection apparatus includes: a bracket 15 mounted on a car body; a holder 16 forming a storage chamber 18 between the holder and the bracket 15; a pivot shaft 16a provided to the holder 16; a pivot plate 17 which is mounted on the pivot shaft 16a so as to swing; and an angle detection mechanism 25 which detects the angle of a mirror within a plane in a vertical direction and within a plane in a horizontal direction. The angle detection mechanism 25 comprises: a permanent magnet 25a attached to the pivot plate 17; and a magnetic sensor unit 25b which is attached to the holder 16 and detects the angle of the mirror within the plane in the vertical direction and the angle of the mirror within the plane in the horizontal direction from the magnetic field of the permanent magnet 25a.
