<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high speed cutout of a glass flat sheet. <P>SOLUTION: A scriber 6, a feed speed keeping roller 7 for keeping a sheet feed speed V<SB POS="POST">L</SB>of a continuous glass sheet 1, and a cleaving roller 8 are arranged in order on a downstream side of a sheet feed direction x of a sheet feed roller 3 which continuously feeds the continuous glass sheet. The cleaving roller 8 is provided with roller bodies 9L, 9R for contact with a plurality of places in the sheet width direction y, of the continuous glass sheet 1 in such a way that the roller bodies 9L, 9R can be rotated at a higher peripheral speed than the sheet feed speed V<SB POS="POST">L</SB>by the feed speed keeping roller 7, wherein a peripheral speed V<SB POS="POST">H</SB>of the roller body 9L is made higher than a peripheral speed V<SB POS="POST">M</SB>of the roller body 9R. Tension allowed to act between the feed speed keeping roller 7 and the cleaving roller 8 is brought into stress concentration on a flaw formed by the scriber 6 on the continuous glass sheet 1, whereby the sheet 1 is broken in such a way as to tear a place where the flaw is formed and a glass sheet 4 is cut out. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
