TOUCH PANEL AND DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel which allows a touch type input of high resolution and a display device.

SOLUTION: The touch panel comprises: multiple first wirings; multiple second wirings; multiple sensor parts; and a control part. The multiple first wirings are aligned along a first direction. The multiple second wirings are aligned along a third direction crossing over the first direction. Each of the sensor parts is provided at an intersection between a first wiring and a second wiring. Each sensor part includes a first ferromagnetic layer, a second ferromagnetic layer and a nonmagnetic intermediate layer provided between the first ferromagnetic layer and the second ferromagnetic layer. One end of a sensor part is connected to a first wiring. The other end of the sensor part is connected to a second wiring. An electric resistance between the first and second ferromagnetic layers of a sensor part varies between a high resistance value and a low resistance value which is lower than the high resistance value depending on a stress applied to the sensor part. The control part detects variation of the electric resistance in each sensor part.
