<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hemming apparatus capable of measuring the thickness or outside dimensions of a hemming part without providing a working space or equipment such as a measuring gage, and thus reducing work manhours and manufacturing cost. <P>SOLUTION: A die 12 includes a measuring reference surface 12f corresponding to a hemming surface 12b. A hemming tool 13 includes: a distance detecting means 27a detecting hem part distances h1, h2 to a hem part 1a, and reference distances h1', h2' to the measuring reference surface 12f; and a hem part thickness computing means 27b computing the thickness of the hem part from the differences between the detected hem part distances h1, h2 and reference distances h1', h2'. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
