FIELD: process engineering.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and may be used for making bulky steel tubes and sections by hot extrusion. Press container comprises outer, medium and inner sleeves, aligned and assembled with fit. Electrically isolated current conducting rods are used for induction heating of container and interconnected in series by means of isolated jumpers. Said jumpers are connected via buses with power supply. Two medium sleeves have grooves extending to sleeve outer surface. Said grooves are made in radius exceeding that of current conducting core by, at least, depth of electrical insulation. Edges of grooves are rounded. Axes of grooves of one medium sleeve are located in one plane with axes of grooves of another medium sleeve. Current conducting cores are arranged in two rows in said grooves.EFFECT: uniform heating, longer life of container.3 dwg
