FIELD: metallurgy.SUBSTANCE: device includes a taphole brick, a taphole wall with a recess and furnace armour. Recess and taphole brick in the end are provided with a lead-in part. Taphole brick with the dimensions of 248×400×300 mm is made from a mullite-corundum solid block and is provided after the lead-in part along the perimetre with a recess to fix the taphole brick in a steel grip with additional fixation of the joint with refractory glue paste. Steel grip consists of two symmetrical welded halves. Front part of the steel grip has a flange, in which four slots coinciding with four pins welded to the furnace armour are made. Four handles are welded on the front internal part of the steel grip to install it in the furnace recess. A conical hole with dimensions of 24×36 mm is drilled in the centre of the taphole brick.EFFECT: increasing service life of the taphole brick and reducing the time for its replacement in case of wear.4 cl, 4 dwg, 3 tbl |
