FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electrochemical method and apparatus for synthesis of nitrogen fertilisers. The method of producing nitrogen fertilisers, selected from a group consisting of: ammonium nitrate, urea, a mixture of urea and ammonium nitrate, ammonia and combinations thereof, wherein the method involves preparation of at least one reactor having at least one reaction chamber and at least one anode and at least one cathode, placing at least one electrolyte between each of the at least one anode and each of the at least one cathode; feeding gaseous or liquid reactants into the reactor, said reactants being selected from a group consisting of: nitrogen sources, carbon sources, hydrogen sources and combinations thereof; and supplying electric power to conduct anode and cathode reactions.EFFECT: invention simplifies a complex method, operating conditions, cuts the volume and size of the system and reduces the cost of production of nitrogen fertilisers.25 cl, 12 dwg, 4 ex |
