<p>The invention relates to a method for determining the dominant eye (12) of a person (2), comprising the following steps: positioning the person (2) in front of equipment (10) designed to acquire at least one image (13) of the face of said person (2), then process said image (13), and finally return information enabling the person (2) to know which eye is the dominant eye (12) thereof; using a sighting device (7) having an optical window (18), viewing a target (6) that is identifiable and locatable in relation to the equipment (10), said viewing being carried out through said window (18) with both eyes open, the size of said window (18) being such that it does not allow the person (2) to see said target (6) with both eyes at the same time; the equipment (10) acquiring at least one image (13) for viewing at least the position of both eyes of the person (2); processing said at least one image (13) by performing calculations while taking into account the position of a central point located between both eyes, the position of the target (6), and the position of the window (18); and the equipment (10) returning the information indicating the dominant eye (12) of the person (2).</p> |
