A data processing method and system for dynamic wheelset failure detection. The method comprises: when a train is incoming, processing collected wheelset contour dimension data, wheel scratch data, wheelset tread crack and material stripping defect data to obtain a detection result (S12), the detection result comprising a wheelset contour dimension data detection result, a tread scratch detection result, and a tread crack and stripping detection result; and drawing a wheel contour dimension detection curve and a tread crack and stripping detection curve according to the detection result (S13). Through the method and system, when the train is incoming, various possible failures of the wheelset are detected in a centralized manner, and the wheelset contour dimension, the vehicle scratch and tread crack and material stripping defects are correspondingly measured and calculated by using a light section method, a displacement method, and an electromagnetic ultrasonic transducer, so as to detect failure parameters in a more centralized and complete manner, and achieve the technical effect of comprehensively detecting and processing various possible failure data.
