<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print management system and related technique which enable a correct calculation of the number of printouts of an image-forming apparatus manufactured by another company. <P>SOLUTION: A print management system includes an output target device determination part, a status information acquisition part and a transmission control part. If an output target device is determined to be an image forming apparatus manufactured by another company, the status information acquisition part acquires status information of the output target device. The transmission control part determines whether the output target device is in a first state (a state including an output operation in-progress) or a second state (a state other than the first state) on the basis of the status information. Then the transmission control part inhibits transmission of a print job if the output target device is in the first state, and permits transmission of the print job if the output target device is in the second state (steps S17 through S22). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
