<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound source detection device that detects an approaching vehicle with high accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: The sound source detection device for detecting a sound source (traveling sound of a vehicle, for example) on the basis of the sound collected by a sound collector is configured to extract a feature quantity from the sound collected by the sound collector, to classify the feature quantity into a plurality of classes corresponding to the position of the sound source by a multi-class pattern identification method (for example, multi-class SVM), to extract the feature quantity from the sound collected by the sound collector in detecting the sound source, to determine the class to which the extracted feature quantity belongs, from among the classes classified in advance, and to estimate the sound source on the basis of the class. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
