<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform a user of an electronic musical instrument provided with a plurality of support functions for helping acquisition of playing technique, of a support function suitable for the acquisition of the playing technique when practicing an etude prepared in advance. <P>SOLUTION: Upon practice by users, a plurality of electronic musical instruments 2 acquire information related to proficiency level having the amount of use for each type of support functions used from the previous practice to the present practice, and the proficiency level of playing technique on an etude, as elements, to supply a server 1 with them. The server 1 stores the supplied information related to proficiency level in a data base 14. When the information related to proficiency level is transmitted from a specific electronic musical instrument 2, a control unit 12 of the server 1 determines a support function which is most suitable for the practice of the etude, on the basis of the user's information and a series of the information related to proficiency level on another user, which is stored in the data base 14, including the information related to proficiency level having a proficiency level corresponding to a target proficiency level as an element.
