<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To early detect that a child is lost, and to handle the lost child without depending on any statement from a guardian or the like in a place where a plurality of persons visit or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A guardian estimation database is used for storing guardian information holding face feature information about each guardian and child information holding face feature information and the degree of getting lost about each child and a link to the guardian information. As for persons projected in image data at an entrance, those persons are classified into children and guardians thereof on the basis of estimated ages, and the children and the guardians are registered in association with each other in the guardian estimation database. As for new image data including a child, the child information in the guardian estimation database is retrieved, the face feature information of the guardian corresponding to the child is acquired, and its matching with the image data is performed so that whether or not the child is projected with the guardian can be determined. Thus, it is possible to increase or decrease the degree of getting lost of the child, and to, when the degree of getting lost reaches a threshold, generate an alarm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
