DRIVING ASSISTANCE DEVICE AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present suitable advice for increasing driving skill in consideration of the skill and type of a driver.

SOLUTION: Driving skill of input driving data is acquired from driving skill classification means; from among pieces of driving data recorded at driving data recording means, driving data is selected which has driving skill higher than the driving skill of the input driving data and which has similarity to the input driving data being at least a predetermined similarity; the differences between the selected driving data and the input driving data are detected; and the detected differences are notified as driving advice.
