<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the endurance of an electric vehicle to be accurately figured out with weather information taken into account. <P>SOLUTION: Weather information covering a scheduled travel route is acquired, the state of charge (SOC) of a high-voltage battery 2 is detected, and the average electric power consumption in a prescribed section immediately ahead is figured out (STEPS 122 to 125). On the basis of the weather information, the state of use of a drive-assisting auxiliary machine 17 is predicted to figure out the wattage of power consumption by the drive-assisting auxiliary machine 17 ahead, and the endurance of the vehicle is figured out by multiplying by the average sectional power consumption a net SOC obtained by subtracting from the SOC of the high-voltage battery 2 the share of the drive-assisting auxiliary machine 17 in the total wattage of power consumption ahead (STEPS 126 to 127). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
