Disclosed are a method and a device for increasing a network search speed of a public land mobile network (PLMN). The method comprises: when it is required to perform a network search of a PLMN and initiate an initial cell search, a UE querying the state of each frequency band of the PLMN (101); according to the queried predetermined priority level of the state of each frequency band, performing corresponding frequency scanning or frequency band set scanning (102). The present invention is capable of finding a suitable cell to reside in at a very high speed, thereby reducing the power consumption of a UE and enhancing the user experience. |
