Provided is an image processing device, wherein image processing is carried out on a composite image that is the result of compositing a first image and a second image picked up with different exposure conditions. This device is provided with a data obtaining unit and an image processing unit. The data obtaining unit obtains the composite image, and region data indicating the region to be composited for the composite image. The image processing unit carries out different image processing for the region to be composited and regions other than the region to be composited, on the basis of the region data. Here, both the first image and the second image include a region within which a moving object is drawn. The composite image is created using the pixel values of either the first image or the second image for the region within which a moving object is drawn. The region data indicates, as the region to be composited, one or a plurality of regions generated on the basis of the region of the composite image within which a moving object is drawn.
