The invention relates to a method and a system for providing services to mobile communication subscribers with the aid of virtual SIM cards, as well as to corresponding machine-readable media. The technical result is greater security in virtual SIM card operations. In the method regional subscriber databases of SIM cards and authentication databases for SIM cards in specific regions are created; the registered subscriber identity of each SIM card and the personal identification key of the SIM card in question are entered into a first encrypted container; a service database of virtual SIM cards is created; the first container is stored; when a service is requested, information about the region to which the SIM card in question belongs is analyzed at the local base station on the basis of the SIM card subscriber identity; in the event of a mismatch, the corresponding virtual SIM card in the service database is requested; and the virtual SIM card of the subscriber in question, the data of which is used when providing the service to the subscriber, is transmitted in a second encrypted container. |
