<p>A power-assisted carriage provided with a drive wheel disposed on a vehicle frame, an operation handle with which a worker can input a drive force to the vehicle frame, a torque sensor for detecting the drive torque inputted to the vehicle frame from the operation handle, a controller for computing an assistance force applied to the drive wheel in accordance with the drive torque, an electric motor for applying the assistance force to the drive wheel, a brake which brakes the drive wheel and which can switch to a non-brake state when a predetermined current is applied, and a brake release switch in which the controller issues a command to apply the predetermined current to the brake when operated by the worker, wherein the controller maintains the brake state of the brake even when the power is turned on if the brake release switch is being operated when the power is not turned on.</p> |
