The system (400) has a main link interface that generates a signal for transmission through a single-ended communications links (435,455), where the signal includes data encoded in a forward channel. An auxiliary link interface receives the signal from the main link interface thorough the single-ended communications link, and modulates the signal to encode data in a reverse channel, so that the signal includes the forward channel data and the reverse channel data simultaneously. The two link interfaces are coupled using the single-ended communications link. An independent claim is included for an apparatus for full duplex communications of data between the video source and video sink using single-ended communications link.
