PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for driving a semiconductor device, by which two-dimensional imaging and three-dimensional imaging can be concurrently performed while reduction in size of a pixel can be achieved, and accurate detection of a position of a moving body can be performed.
SOLUTION: A distance from a light source to a detection object is measured through steps of: performing a first irradiation and a second irradiation of the object for the same length of irradiation time; performing a first imaging and a second imaging, responding to the first irradiation and the second irradiation, respectively; and obtaining a first detection signal and a second detection signal depending on a time difference between arrival times of light in the first imaging and in the second imaging. Two-dimensional imaging and three-dimensional imaging can be concurrently performed by overlapping a first photosensor absorbing visible light and transmitting infrared light and a second photosensor absorbing infrared light with each other. By detecting reflected light from the substantially same point of a detection object with adjacent photosensors, reduction in the accuracy of position detection can be prevented even for a fast-moving object.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
