POLYMER FORMULATION OF CETP INHIBITOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide solid formulations of a class of CETP inhibiting compounds which provide improved bioavailability when they are administered to a patient.

SOLUTION: This pharmaceutical composition comprises (a) a CETP inhibiting compound having the structure shown as formula I, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; (b) a concentration-enhancing polymer; and (c) optionally one or more surfactants. The composition raises HDL-cholesterol and lowers LDL-cholesterol.
