摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device having an inorganic alignment layer efficiently formed by oblique vapor deposition and showing stable optical characteristics as well as display qualities, a method for manufacturing the liquid crystal device, and electronic equipment including the liquid crystal device. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal device 100 in an embodiment includes a device substrate 10 as a first substrate, a counter substrate 20 as a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer 50 comprising liquid crystal molecules having negative dielectric anisotropy and sandwiched by the device substrate 10 and the counter substrate 20, a base insulating film 11 disposed between the device substrate 10 and the liquid crystal layer 50 and having a plurality of recesses 11a, a pixel electrode 15 as an electrode disposed between the base insulating film 11 and the liquid crystal layer 50 and having a recessed surface corresponding to the base insulating film 11, and an alignment layer 18 as an inorganic alignment layer formed by oblique vapor deposition on the recessed surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
