<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terahertz wave generation detecting device capable of making a femtosecond laser optical pulse which has high power and narrow pulse width and is modulated, incident to a terahertz generating portion, by a simple structure; and a femtosecond laser generating device. <P>SOLUTION: An optical pulse from a fiber laser oscillator 108 is branched into two beams by a beam splitter 109, and modulation is applied by an intensity modulator 110 to the branched one optical pulse in s seed light stage. Then, the power of the modulated optical pulse is amplified to an output value by a fiber amplifier 115, and the pulse width of the modulated optical pulse is narrowed to the output value by a fiber compressor 116, thereby emitting a modulated femtosecond laser optical pulse having high power and narrow pulse width to a terahertz wave generating portion 102. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
