PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency power amplifier that implements a compact and inexpensive configuration and has satisfactory power efficiency.

SOLUTION: A high frequency power amplifier 100 includes: a first amplifier 23 for amplifying an input fundamental having a predetermined frequency by saturation; a distributer 24 for distributing the signal amplified by the first amplifier 23; a fundamental output matching circuit 25 for matching an output of the distributor 24 at the frequency of the fundamental; a delay line for delaying the fundamental output from the fundamental output matching circuit 25; a second harmonic output matching circuit 27 for matching an output of the distributor 24 at the frequency of a second harmonic; an adjuster for adjusting the phase and amplitude of the second harmonic output from the second harmonic output matching circuit 27; a combiner for combining the fundamental output from the delay line and the second harmonic output from the adjuster; and a second amplifier for amplifying the signal combined by the combiner.
