<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet ray irradiation apparatus which inhibits thermal degradation of an ultraviolet transmission window or peripheral members thereof, can reduce the exchange frequency of components and has high maintainability. <P>SOLUTION: The ultraviolet ray irradiation apparatus 100 in an embodiment is provided with: a treatment tank 1 which can be filled with a water B to be treated; an inflow unit 15 for feeding the water B to the treatment tank 1; a discharge unit 16 for discharging the water B from the tank 1; a lid 21 having an ultraviolet transmission window 31 and covering the upper part of the tank 1; an ultraviolet irradiation unit 4 for irradiating the inside of the tank 1 with an ultraviolet ray through the window 31; and a gas-venting unit 5 which vents a gas layer C generating between the window 31 and the water B when the water B is stored in the tank 1 to contact the water B with the window 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
