<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for separating 2-butene from a C4 feedstock containing 1-butene and 2-butene. <P>SOLUTION: The 2-Butene is separated from C4 fraction containing the 2-butene and the 1-butene by selective oligomerization of the 1-butene to overwhelming linear oligomers. Optionally by a further process, isobutene, a 1,3-butadiene and a trace amount of acetylene hydrocarbon present in the C4 fraction are separated. The C4 feedstock 5 is fed to a 1,3-butadiene selective hydrogenation process 1, the obtained effluent 8 containing the 1-butene, 2-butene, n-butane and isobutane obtained possibly through an isobutene separation process 2 is treated by a 1-butene selective oligomerization process 3, the obtained effluent 9 containing a linear oligomer is separated into a 1-butene oligomer 10 and an unreacted 2-butene fraction 11 by a separation process 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
