PROGRAM INFORMATION TRANSMITTER, PROGRAM INFORMATION RECEIVER, AND PROGRAM INFORMATION TRANSMISSION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program information transmitter which provides program information over a network.

SOLUTION: The program information transmitter receiving digital broadcasting including first program information describing the attributes about a program comprises a program information processing unit acquiring the first program information, a device information provision unit providing the device description information to other devices connected with a network, a program information conversion unit generating an EPG object having a broadcasting system or an edition channel and the property information of a program, a program information provision unit providing the EPG object thus generated as the second program information in response to a first command delivered from the other devices, and a reservation recording unit performing video recording setting of a specified program in response to a second command delivered from the other devices. The first and second commands include property information for specifying a program described by the other devices.
