[Also in Divisions F4 and G3] The speed of an A.C. motor 90 driving pumps 25 and 56 in the weak and strong solution lines of an absorption refrigeration system (see Division F4H) is controlled by a circuit, including a TRIAC switch 63 which is triggered by discharge of a capacitor 81 through a transistor 73. The rate of charging of the capacitor 81 is governed by a thermistor 80 on the output line 53 of the refrigeration system. The values of the electric components of the control circuit are chosen so that the switch 63 is turned on for a time during each A.C. half-cycle. |
