<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To list and display a feature area of a name area and the like in a name card image, so as to attain easier to see. <P>SOLUTION: A brightness image conversion part 20 converts an imaged name card image to a brightness image. A brightness distribution acquisition part 21 acquires a brightness distribution of the brightness image. A name area estimation part 22 collates the brightness distribution with a database of a brightness distribution recording part 25, and estimates a name area in which the name on the name card is described, on the basis of a collation result. A memory 10 preserves coordinates in the whole name card image of the estimated name area in association with the name card image. An image interpolation part 23 cuts out an image of the name area from the name card image on the basis of the coordinates of the name area, and performs calibration and super-resolution processing to the image of the name area so as to agree with the size of a name display area.
