A push-button assembly for operating a switch enclosed within a protective cover 11 through a hole in the cover comprises a body member 4 adapted to co-operate with the switch and a cap 1 arranged to fit over member 4, cap 1 and member 4 having interlocking means to hold them in contact and projections 7, 8 to retain the assembly within the hole in the cover. As shown, the interlocking means comprise projections 5 and holes 3 but may comprise a screwthread. Cap 1 is of transparent material and an indicator card may be placed in space 9.
