The device has a detection unit for detecting fuel consumption of a combustion engine. A calculating unit calculates fuel consumption value at a time period. A display device displays the fuel consumption value based on the period. The detection unit detects electric power consumption of an electromotor. The calculating unit calculates power consumption value at a time period. The display device displays the computed fuel consumption value and the power consumption value of several different periods in relationship to each other. An independent claim is also included for a method for determining and displaying energy flows into a combustion engine and an electromotor of a hybrid vehicle.
