ELECTRODE SUBSTRATE FOR TOUCH PANEL, TOUCH PANEL, AND IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode substrate for a touch panel in which moire due to interference with periodic arrangement of pixels of a display panel does not occur, a touch panel using the electrode substrate, and an image display device.

SOLUTION: An electrode substrate 10 for a touch panel includes a conductor mesh 2 for defining plural opening areas A on a transparent substrate 1. A mesh pattern 2P that is a shape of the conductor mesh in plan view is formed by plural boundary line segments L each extending between two branch points B and defining the opening areas. The average value N of the number of boundary line segments extending from one branch point is 3.0≤N<4.0. The opening areas surrounded by the same number of boundary line segments do not have the same shape. The opening areas are not arranged in a periodic direction. A touch panel uses the electrode substrate for a touch panel. An image display device is provided with the touch panel on a light-emitting surface of a display panel.
