<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk device capable of enhancing silence of unloading operation of a head, and further to provide a controlling method of the head. <P>SOLUTION: A magnetic disk device of one embodiment comprises: a coil motor that has a head for performing writing/reading of information with respect to an information storage medium and a coil having terminals on both ends and moves the head; a driving circuit for driving the coil motor; a voltage detecting section for detecting a voltage between the terminals of the coil; a first calculating section for calculating a counter electromotive voltage of the coil by using the voltage between the terminals; a generating section for generating a target speed that is a reference value of a moving speed of the head; a first estimating section that estimates a first speed of the head and an error of the first speed at every sampling time by using the counter electromotive voltage and estimates a second speed after one sampling time in a direction where the error is reduced; and a controller for calculating a control command in a direction where the second speed becomes close to the target speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
