<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser device with improved light intensity and a control method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a laser device which comprises a first laser, a second laser, an external resonator, and a control unit. The first laser emits a first laser beam. The second laser emits a second laser beam. The first laser beam and the second laser beam are made incident to the external resonator.
