<p>This piezoelectric element is configured as follows. The piezoelectric element is provided with: a rod-shaped elastic body (3) exhibiting a substantially cylindrical shape; oval-shaped slits (s1, s2, and s3) formed upon side peripheral surfaces of the rod-shaped elastic body (3), in a range not reaching both end surfaces in the longitudinal direction of the rod-shaped elastic body (3), along the longitudinal direction of the rod-shaped elastic body (3); piezoelectric members (9) provided upon sections other than sections upon which the slits (s1, s2, and s3) have been formed among the side peripheral surfaces; and electrode members (7-1, 7-2, and 7-3) disposed upon the piezoelectric members (9) of the side peripheral surfaces, in a range not reaching both end sections of the slits (s1, s2, and s3) with respect to the longitudinal direction and in a state straddling the slits (s1, s2, and s3) with respect to the circumferential direction of the rod-shaped elastic body (3).</p> |
